Shoetime
A year ago I saw this orchid for the first time in my life. They grow in a very small number of places on the island, most of them is kept secret because the plant is close to extinction. It only grows in about five places in the middle of the island, where I was, is the most familiar. The flower is in an oak tree surrounding, well fenced in so that you can't accidentally tread on it. You are only allowed to take photos of it and not to touch it. It's an orchid called "Guckusko" in Swedish. 'Gucku' is an old word for "Gök", or Cuckoo in English. "Sko" is the Swedish word for shoe. The latin name is Cypripendium calceolus.
In my garden new things happen everyday, and I don't have to do anything but to look at it while happening. The Poppies are coming out of their buds, there are new ones everyday and you can hear them pop. The short-lived Pimpinelrose, Rosa spinosissima has again broken through the hedge. I've learned that they carry a very healthy fruit in the autumn.
