Light me up
A very people-y morning...including meeting up with a lady who had some clothes for a homeless woman, someone specific she's seen when driving the buses on a particular route...anyway we worked out it was Gana! Maaret was so delighted to hear at how well she's doing. Her delight made my day. She made me promise I'd tell Gana that there's a bus driver who prays for her.
The rest of the morning included several loads of homeless washing, Stef, and organising a food pickup to distribute amongst homeless friends.
A nice afternoon with the kids. They very much enjoyed choosing a box of ice creams from the supermarket. We bumped into Ricardo and Asha couldn't get over the improvement in him now he's got a roof over his head.
Danny, bless him, got straight out of prison and was then giving out the boxes of food in town...and then home and straight into the prayer zoom with our UK church. So good to hear everyone's news and to pray together.
Today I'm grateful for;
1) The beautiful light through these leaves as I walked and prayed earlier.
2) The variety in our days.
3) Jenny rescuing the food from an event where there was lots leftover that would have been chucked away.
