Clematis

Back at my Mother's again sooner than  I expected because she has got an  appointment for minor surgery tomorrow, which we were only offered last  Thursday.  Photo is of a Clematis in her garden. 
We sat in her woodland  garden this evening and a bird of prey landed in an ash tree, before flying off. Fifteen minutes it returned and repeated this exercise.My initial  thought was that it would be a sparrowhawk but its plumage was so brown that  I am tending towards it being a kestrel.  Perhaps we'll see it again tomorrow.
