Bursting Buds

An awful night, still awake at 2.30... went downstairs, made a cuppa and took it back to bed, read for an hour, settled down again at 03.30..... was woken by someone using a circular saw or the likes at 9.30 :-/

Got up, showered, breakfasted, spoke to the Funeral Directors to fix up a meeting to arrange to collect hub. Then I picked up E from nextdoor and we took a drive to a couple of garden centres. Gor e erything we wanted bar her hanging basket, as there was a delay on the M6 coming back which meNt our last port of call was missed.

I made myself scrambled eggs and brown toast for my lunch then got chagec into my gardening scruffs. Planted up two window boxes, two tubs, planted an arum lilly, repotted a couple of plants for middle son to take for his garden. Did lots of weeding and clearing up, swept the large patio and adjoining paths.

Thought my hanging baskets were looking pretty imoressive, so thats my blip for today.... you can see why E wanted to get her basket from the same place ;-). The nursery provides all themplants for our Councils "Wigan in Bloom" scheme.

Came in after 4 hours hard work, made. yself griddled,seabass, new potatoes and sweetheart cabbage, with roasted cherry tomatoes.....very nice it was too. Had a few tears afterwards, looking at hubs smiling face looking at me from the sideboard :-)

Been good today foodwise, that was until just now...having consumed half a pack of tortilla chips :-/ Finding it really tough to stop eating the wrong kinds of things!

Watched the photography programme again tonight on tv, really enjoying it!!
