Fungi
Doug found these when he was being a woodman this morning !
They are growing out of the sawn rounds of wood that are drying (supposedly) in our paddock. Next winters supply.
This little clump total width is only 10mm, the other clump (#2 & 3 in extra) are 20mm across in total. So very very tiny. Amazing little things, so pretty, with their fluffy edging and gills.
If anyone can name them I'd be grateful....I've consulted my Fungi book but to no avail. On further investigation perhaps Schizophyllum commune (Split Gill fungi) ?? But these gill are on the top looking upwards not underneath , I’m photographing them looking down on them. mmm the plot thickens!
