Zuyderland

For a checkup that only took 20 minutes, I had to go to the hospital in Sittard. Sittard is 30 kilometers away from us. Not far away by car. We have not had a car for a year now and had previously done it by bicycle or public transport. It would have been almost 2 hours by bike or over an hour by bus and train.
Why Sittard, you may wonder. Why not go to one of the 4 hospitals closer? Well, this would be more efficient. Not for the customer, that's for sure.
