Kathleen Springs - Watarrka National Park NT

Today was birdwatching paradise on a crisp winter day at Kings Canyon.
The recent rains have turned the red soil and cliffs into the most magnificent grasslands and wildflowers.
The large numbers of birds are due to the amount of seed on offer and of course more water.
We were just spellbound by the red ochres and tufted golden grasses against the escarpment.
It was a great to be alive day :)
Thank you for all the positive comments and acknowledging my attempts at shooting this landscape.
Due to the weak signal here I have been tardy with replies so my apologies.
The extra is another fabulous rock shelf at Kathleen Springs.
