Cornfield with Poppies

This field is just getting going with its poppies and every night for 4 nights the poppies have been beaten by heavy rain. Somehow those delicate petals survive. 

Hours of weeding the vegetable patch finally looks like it is paying off. The rain followed by sunshine has boosted growth and pollen all round. I think I have hay fever. Hope I can get through tonight’s yoga class without sneezing!
