Fairy Pool Frolics

An early start to get over to Plockton for Calum’s seal safari. We were the only three guests on the boat, which was perfect. And we saw plenty of seals which was even better. Then we dawdled in Plockton, I mean why wouldn’t you, especially as Ruby had made us lunch, before heading over the bridge to Skye. The Fairy pools have been given a big car park and there were a fair few people there, I dread to think what July and August may hold. Most people were winding their way up the path but Joe and Ruby came prepared and spent a joyous time under the waterfalls.

Imagine my surprise on discovering that the Talisker distillery was just a couple of miles away. So it would have been rude not to pop in and pick up a bottle.

Home via the Co-op and then it was roast salmon for tea and possibly a dram of Skye’s finest later.
