Village Cricket

Middle son Matthew asked if I would take some photos of tonight’s match - Thornton Dale versus Great Habton. Matthew was umpire and also secretary to the league. Good to see so many of his friends he was at Primary School or played rugby with still involved with local sport. 

An enjoyable evening with me needing to take evasive action on occasion with some of the big hitters. The extra collage shows the hazards of village cricket as Angus had to retrieve the ball from the sheep field, Matthew the umpire, Angus bowling and the pavilion.

Will need to be careful as i can see more requests for photos on the horizon!
