Wasp beetle

Wasp-ish but not waspish, at all.  

Nor me!  I'm about to claw back three days that I'd written off in anticipation.  Apart from the afternoon naps yesterday, I have no more side effects. I've made the most of the day I was expecting to be mooching slowly around, busying myself in the garden.  It's been an unexpected treat. 

This beetle added to the menagerie of insects appearing in the garden this year - and to my happiness.
