Figure Painting

Got after four figures today - waiting for the stain to dry on the cabin I am building.  The two figures on the left (an engine oiler and a guy shoveling coal) are from Aspen Models.  The two on the right  are 3D printed and bought at Shapeways.  The Aspen figures are FULL of detail and a joy to paint.  My favorite figure supplier (they do HO, S, and O).  I add the dark shadows first, then come over that with the base color. This gives it some depth - hard to see in the blip.   More layers to come and some washes as well.  The 3D figures (a carpenter and a woman drinking coffee) are not nearly as detailed but they will do.
