Ok, do you know what a Trial Balance is? 

No. 

OK, have you ever heard of double entry bookkeeping? 

No. 

OK, um, well this is a reconciliation and we use a Trial Balance to prove the difference between the requirement and the resource shown on the platform which is basically a huge double entry bookkeeping system. Any questions?
