Some poppies

Today (Tuesday) at West Pentire.  The poppies always appear suddenly every year.  Two weeks ago there was no sign of them!

I could also hear skylarks and the roar of the sea. The only fly in the ointment was noisy aircraft, including a Chinook helicopter, around Newquay airport.  We've already had the Japanese equivalent of Air Force One flying around, (it seats 160) and a lot of Hercules in formation, and Ospreys.  All playing at getting ready for the G7.  Climate is going to be changed by all the aircraft fuel they are wasting!
