Amniotic Fluid

Baby's heart beat is doing very well, but a scan showed reduced amniotic fluid, which led to midwife and registar's concern. Here I am at hospital studying the results, waiting for Sax before the meeting with the registar. We knew that for potential placenta insufficiency we could opt for daily monitoring, and were prepared for the kind of language that would potentially be used to encourage us to induce, but when we met the registar, we were both pretty knocked by his attitude. We did what felt right to us, opted for daily monitoring, and a repeat scan. There were a lot of mixed messages to decipher, and distinguishing fact from language. Dad was a great help and support to us both.
