Richmond Castle

After our unexpected night in Wetherby, MrM and I set off reasonably early on the journey home. Not straight up the A1 though - we meandered through the Dales and North Yorkshire, beautiful at this time of year. Late morning we stopped for a stroll around Richmond, down by the river, and then climbed the steep steps up to the castle. After fish & chips for a late lunch in Barnard Castle, we finally headed north and  arrived home mid-afternoon.
