Friar's Head Hall
Lovely to have an afternoon free of all commitments, and no plan. I drove into the Dales, and then decided to take - more or less randomly - roads I had not travelled before.
I had never even heard of Eshton (near Airton, which I did know), but I drove from there along the road to Winterburn, when this beauty appeared in front of my eyes. According to Scribble by the Ribble's Paul Jackson, the present hall was built around 1590 and is a Grade II listed building. http://www.jacksoneditorial.co.uk/tag/friars-head-hall/
To get the extra, I merely turned round 180 and pointed. Field of gold.
