CLASS OF 2021

Our little high school recently held its 103rd Commencement Exercises. This is the Class of 2021. It was a trying year for them what with both virtual and in-school learning taking place simultaneously and sports seasons requiring the wearing of face masks. But they made it through.

I have had one or both parents of several of these graduates as students in the past and I even taught one or both grandparents of two of them. There are some amazingly gifted athletes among them and some serious scholars as well. Several of them are both scholar and athlete. 

75% are continuing their education at post-secondary schools, a few will enter the trades as apprentices of one sort or another and three will enter the military...and those three will allow the military to pay for their bachelor's degree. A smart decision if money for college is an issue.

Anyway....this was an excellent class and I will miss seeing them at athletic events. But new students will replace them and it will be another adventure for me watching them mature and turn into responsible citizens. I am watching.
