St Mary and All Saints, Beaconsfield

I had to pop back to Beaconsfield today for a repair after the car's MOT on Monday, so I had chance to wander round a bit more.  There has been a church on the crossroads in the centre of Old Beaconsfield (which means a clearing in the Beech trees) since 1210, but today's church was rebuilt by the Victorians in 1869.  This is where the roads from London to Oxford and Aylesbury to Windsor crossed, and there are several fine coaching inns as well.  The roof of the church was being inspected today.
