Ellesmere Lake

We had reserved tickets today to visit the new RHS Garden Bridgewater in Salford. It is a tremendous venue as well as an aspiring one. Work is still on-going and no doubt we will notice changes with every visit and season. This is Ellesmere Lake, which lies below the former site of Worsley New Hall. The Lakeland path formed a lovely route of dappled light through adjoining woodland, through to an enormous buttercup meadow stretching down to the Bridgewater Canal.

Hospital appointment this afternoon was less uplifting.
