The Players’ Tribune

We live in Scotland. I will support Scotland at the European Finals beginning on Friday. I will be particularly interested to see who wins in the match between England and Scotland.

I met Graham Southgate, English men’s football team coach shortly after he was appointed. More recently I listened to a recording of the private conversation he had with our son in law and family. The conversation was a competition prize. Gareth was incredibly generous with his time.

Today I read Gareth’s open letter on the eve of the Euros entitled Dear England. If you have not read it I commend it most highly.
