I had to go to Queen Mary's Hospital in Roehampton for an ultrasound (reviewing the kidney stone situ; I've been given the all clear...); Im came to keep my company (/calm), and we went to Queensmere Pond on Wimbledon Common en route home, finding swans with four cygnets, coots with five cootlings, and a single female mandarin.
