Carpets of Crocuses …

…. appear as soon as the snow melts. Usually you see this in May not June. In front of  the Col de Bretaye you can see the lake still mainly frozen. Beyond is the Muveran range. In extra a few of last year’s baby bouquetins were playing on the edge of a rocky ridge, I couldn’t decide which photo to post!

Thanks for the many wonderful comments etc. for yesterday’s mother and new baby chamois, even though they are half hidden.
