Earthshine

I rushed home from work this evening in the vain hope that I may catch a glimpse of comet Pan Starrs but think that it must have been too close to the horizon and perhaps not dark enough. I did catch a rather hurried earthshine shot of the crescent moon which for those not informed is when the dark portion of the moon is lit from the reflection of light bouncing back from the earths surface. Now to try another 101 whisky.
