New blooms

have appeared this week in the garden. It’s been a year or two since this Nelly Moser clematis has bloomed well around the bin store but is looking lovely at the moment. The poppies at the back of the garden have just started to open with lots more to come, they seem to have been in bud for ages.

A funny morning, quite dull with a hint of dampness in the air but by the time I was heading down to Saltaire to meet my friend this afternoon there were lovely skies but it had turned very windy. Still pleasant enough for a cuppa from the Half Moon cafe and a sit on one of the park benches before a walk around the river and the canal. On our walk we observed a Red Kite being bombarded by smaller birds, haven’t seen one I. This area before.
