A Birthday Treat

The 10th of June is my birthday (and also the Duke of Edinburgh's - he would have been 100).
As a treat, me and Mrs. MD went to The Sidings Hotel and Restaurant, York.
The hotel is most unusual - situated alongside the East Coast Mainline just north of York and consists of five Pullman carriages converted into various bedrooms.  We had the 'Royal Suite' which overlooked the main line.
The food was excellent and so were all the staff.  A wonderful experience that I shall remember.
My main Blip is a LNER Azura train passing by at around 110 mph - and my extras show the hotel and the railway themed bar.
