Where am I?

Yorkshire and the area where we live is steeped in history. There are some magnificent buildings to visit. Today we had our own mini staycation visiting this famous historical site from home. Easy to book a time slot through English Heritage and to take advantage of our membership. It was surprisingly quiet as were the roads to get there.

My eye was drawn to the way in which the stone had weathered. Not too surprising given its location. Really enjoyed our visit. Have you guessed where we were today? Have a look at the extras to confirm .... 

For those who want to know it’s Whitby Abbey. None of the 199 steps were used to get there - we drove to the car park instead!
