And away we went!
We headed south to see the university students in London but on the way detoured through the Cotswolds. It has been along time since I visited - back when I first moved to England in my twenties and it has aged well. What a charming area of the world - there are parts of the englishness of England that always provide a sense of awe to me. We stopped in Bourton-on-the-Water - which even in the drizzle was gorgeous and charming. Didn't make it into Chipping Norton but is it childish to say that we all flipped a finger at David Cameron's home village when we drove past a sign to it?
Arriving in London was as wonderful as ever as was seeing Zachary for the first time in a while - we all enjoyed a fabulous pizza, a few drinks, a wander around the streets and a sense of joy of being somewhere new again.
