Light installation - Massimo Bartoloni

Into Edinburgh this afternoon to see some exhibitions.

I stepped out of the station straight into the Fruitmarket gallery, always guaranteed to produce stimulating exhibitions and today it is the Italian artist Massimo Bartoloni with a stunning light installation taking over the whole of the ground floor. The rest of the exhibition was less seductive but thoughtful and challenging.

Helpful young assistants were on hand to explain the work. As one said the aim is to "start a conversation".
It certainly does.
Well, worth a visit.
