Well, I’m here. Karen, Flo & the hounds too. Around 6,000 police officers. The navy of course. Goodness knows how many security staff. Oh, and the world leaders too. Plus HM. Kate too. Amusingly it’s quite chilly and a sea fret means it’s not T-shirt weather. Or Speedo’s.

It’s odd, all this big boy stuff right here in St Ives, and yet yet somehow not. Cornwall has an energy, a buzz. May it enthuse those with power to be what they are currently not.

No word on when they want my speech yet…
