2358. Spitfire Mark Vb
We visited the Montrose Air Station Heritage Centre today and what a brilliant place to visit it was too. They have this Spitfire Mark Vb parked at the front and we managed to get some close up photos without lots of people about. As we were leaving dozens of scooter enthusiasts turned up and they all parked in front of the Spitfire so I was glad I got some shots beforehand.
They also had an exhibition about animals during the wars and I read about “Bamse” the Norwegian dog who was awarded the highest honour for a canine for his service during WW2.
What a beautiful day it has been too…sunshine and clear blue skies….
