Spoilt for choice

We visited a local nature reserve today at Top Hill. It is the site of two large reservoirs and surrounding them are various lakes and 8 bird hides. I was expecting to see various birds but not orchids so hadn’t taken my macro lens with me. We saw the marsh, Heath spotted, common spotted and bee orchid. There were some rather large frogs and an assortment of birds ranging from sand martins to lapwings and various ducks.
