“At Work”

This is the foyer of Number 8 where I volunteer. I’ve just finished a stewarding session for the film 42nd Street, and this evening I’m working a Box Office shift as we have a performance of Nomadland ( which I saw on Thursday). So instead of going home I’m killing half an hour or so.

During the day this place is a hive of activity as there is a coffee bar in the foyer space and classes going on in the rooms behind, as well as occasional matinee screenings.

It’s rare to see it quiet and empty!
