The Crags

Overlooking the Salisbury Crags on the way up Arthur's Seat. Mrs AB requested guidance on the route of the Gutted Haddie, a 'shortcut' to the peak that I follow during the Seven Hills race.

It was blowing a hoolie from the west so that her sunglasses took flight from her flapping waist-tied coat as we ascended the rocky gully. It wasn't until we reached the summit that the departure was discovered.

We descended via Piper's Dam path, and then returned towards our start point through the savannah-like Hunter's Bog. Mrs AB hadn't given up on those sunglasses so returned up the staircase towards the base of the rocky gully. As she reached it, serendipity struck and a pair of blokes emerged from gorse clutching them. Duly returned.
