Stratford evening

Stratford upon Avon was looking very beautiful this evening when we went for a meal with my godson, Ben and his wife, Rachel and their son, Sam.  Pre-covid we saw them regularly with us very often trundling off up the M6 to Preston to visit them.  I think it was the start of 2020 that we last saw them so today was cause for celebration as they have come to see us in our new house on their way home from Cornwall.  Hugs all round!  And then we went for delicious Italian food in Stratford and a stroll around the river and the area in front of the Theatre.  it really was looking so good tonight and there were people around but not too many of them.  You can see a few extra shots of us, the spaghetti monster (Sam) and some of the riverside.

We were watching the Denmark v Finland football before we went out and had got to the part just before half time when the Danish footballer Christian Eriksen collapsed.  It was shocking to see and we were all concerned to know how he was as he was obviously very seriously ill.  We were relieved to hear that he has at least regained consciousness.  We hope that his recovery will be ongoing...
