My Mom's Garden

I drove 2.5 hours up to Kamloops to spend the day with my 95 year old Mom.  She is doing very well and managed once again to beat me at a couple of games of 500 rummy.
About 8 years ago, I put together these raised garden boxes for her as it was very difficult for her to bend down into her vegetable garden.


She loves eating fresh from her garden. When she was younger and had quite a large garden...she would can about 60 jars of beets.  That was her signature speciality.  


We talked about the many trips that we took together over the years.  I was retired and my wife was still coaching university basketball , so we had time to travel together.
