Starlings

My husband went in to Cambridge today with our daughter and granddaughter. It was a last minute outing, but I could not go as I was hosting a meeting for someone else.
 
Today’s picture is of two of the many starlings raiding the bird feeders. I had hoped to get a picture with the adult feeding the young, but after taking at least twenty pictures I gave up; this is the nearest I got! At one point there were twelve on the feeders and there were more in the trees so we must have had at least two nests hatch in the last day or two. They have eaten ten fat balls from one feeder and eight from another, all in one day.
 
The temperature at GMT noon was twenty-three degrees Celsius.
