I would have loved to have snapped it when the flames were leaping 20 feet into the air but I was on panic hose duty.

Now, further to the sad saga of the puppy:- I messaged the breeder this morning as she has said she was going to take the puppy into her local vet yesterday. Well, it is good news because although he concurred with our vet's diagnosis of a severe heart murmur, he has adopted her for his family, and will love and care for her for however long she is given. It couldn't be a better outcome really. So now we just have to wait for "our" puppy to find us.
