Windy and wet

Not a great day although it made sitting inside watching the footy seem less of a cop-out. 
A pretty miserable walk in the woods in the morning but it had cleared a little by the afternoon. 
This bird was determined to be photographed. I looked up the etymology of its species name, Dunlin, and basically it means 'brown thing'  which is not awfully exciting for what is actually at this time of year quite an attractive, if common, bird.
