Yellow-Tailed Black Cockatoo
These endangered cockatoos have been feasting (and decimating) our Banksias and I've been chasing them unsuccessfully with my iPhone. So I dug out the Panasonic Lumix and managed this catch. They are I think the largest of the cockatoos - around 65 cms (26") in size, and are spectacular in flight when their tails are fully spread, showing off the underside yellow feathers. By the way, we don't mind the Banksias being attacked - they have given us this rare treat.
