Sylvia's beautiful rose.
A whole month ago my Mum passed away and the days have been tinged with sadness and memories of our happy times together. My sister and her family live up the road from Mum, so they have the arduous task of clearing and selling the family home. Some of Mum's possessions will go to family, and some to various charities. Both parents were keen on photography, so there is a legacy of many albums documenting our lives from childhood, school, college, our own children and grandchildren.
I find it consoling and in some respects healing to reflect on these old photos.
Today is warm, sunny and humid with a breeze. Arthur has enjoyed the warmth. After doing the Monday washing and ironing,
I wandered up the road to photo Sylvia's rose. She turned 90 a few weeks ago and is a lovely well known woman who lives in the Onward bungalows, where they all have pretty front gardens and a communal grassed area at the rear of the properties. It is an ideal model for the independent elderly.
Have a lovely day blip friends. I am going to open and try on my new Karrimor walking boots that were just delivered. A bargain in the Sports Direct online sale.
