Royal Botanic Gardens

We spent today pottering about in Edinburgh. In the morning we went to the Royal Botanic Gardens ( a pre booked slot ) and enjoyed our visit despite the fact the glasshouses were not open nor was the cafe. 

After this we walked into the city centre which felt very busy , and had a brief look at John Lewis which does not seem to have changed at all despite the massive shopping centre that is being built around it. 

The sun was now out and it was warm/hot so we spent the late afternoon on Portobello beach which again was mobbed. A lovely day all in all.
