Purple cranesbill

This lovely, reliable, Geranium x magnificum "Rosemoor"  is looking at its best in my garden. I took this photo  this  morning after watering the plants, but before it became  too hot.  
This afternoon we found some shade and kept cool for an hour - in the cathedral. We went there to meet someone to discuss us stewarding concerts there.  There is a concert this Friday evening. We have agreed to go along to shadow a couple of  friends who are already volunteer stewards. 
This evening we heard officially that the current  Covid restrictions will remain  in place for another  month,  at least. I'm not at all  surprised.
