Wild Buttercups in the Dales
Today we had a long drive through the Yorkshire Dales. We passed through Leyburn, Reeth, Muker, over Buttertubs Pass, Hawes (lunch), Oughtershaw, Kettlewell, Grassington, detoured along the A59 & A61, through Ripley, Ripon and Thirsk.
There were wild buttercup fields along most of the route, so much more natural than rapeseed fields. Many other wildflowers were growing with them. Many of the roads we took were amazing and totally off the beaten track.
Many moons ago I walked much of the Dales Way so would have passed close to my Blip.
