Steady Growth
The wheat is on it’s way now in the fields, seen on our local Nidd Gorge walk this evening. Last year there were broad beans in these fields - and crop rotation- not that I know much about it - seems to follow a steady pattern of change too designed to yield a good harvest.
I think steady growth is something for me to hold on to right now - I’m stretching myself a little thin completing various lockdown activities, whilst at the same time starting new projects, and returning to various activities in the unlocking process.- not to mention catching up with family and friends.
.
For anyone interested in Emma Davies’ A year with my camera I’ve now completed weeks 1 and 2.
Week 1: take 2 pictures, one of plain back and one of plain white on auto and notice the camera turns them into 18% grey.
Week 2: Aperture priority - this is where I risk overstretching myself photographically because I want to do it properly and to do that I have to move away from the comfort of the Panasonic to a DSLR - at least occasionally, so I’ve dug out an eons old Nikon of J’s - now I’m juggling 3 cameras and a phone - slow and steady with Emma seems like a good plan right now!
