whenever i'm on the train, i think of walker evans (one of a long list of favorite photographers) and wish i had a hidden camera.

this was not the shot i wanted of this tired construction worker (not the shot i imagined myself taking for the first ten minutes of sitting across from him, with his dirty boots and tan skin). but i felt like i only had one chance as he looked through his bag, and this is it.

and then i got one other one-shot-only chance later through my windshield, of a favorite subject, a dog silhouette, in an old bug.

edit: i'm actually liking blip's crop of my thumbnail better than my own composition, but i'm not going to change it!
