See what I did?

I put the butterfly (common blue) on the orchid (marsh, also common). They were close but not together on the piece of scrubby 'waste' land I often rummage in on account of its interesting flora and fauna.

Recently a reptile survey has been done there which is I suppose a good sign. I only knew because a notice went up advising people (er, me?) to avoid disturbing the "refugia" - randomly-placed squares of roofing material under which snakes and lizards like to shelter. Before the sign was placed I had already scavenged several of these thinking they had blown in and would be useful for weed control...
