Orchid

An early purple I think though it isn't very early. Maybe it's been delayed by the cold spell in May or maybe it's because it is a pioneer. The area round the community orchard hasn't been savagely cut back or sprayed with pesticide. It is so good to see this and let's hope many more colonise the area in future years.

After remote coffee with friends I sat in another friend's garden reviewing last week's parking meeting. Out to spot the orchid then much agonising over whether to risk a night away at the end of the week. To be confirmed later.

Still really windy. Better get back into the garden to rescue more plants.
