Ruskin's View (for now)

Yesterday, the Minx sent me a screenshot of an announcement that Ruskin's View was to be closed "with immediate effect" because of soil erosion beneath The Brow, which is the walk from the churchyard whence Ruskin enjoyed his view.

After having dinner at Botanica, this evening, we strolled 'round to take a look but the anticipated fencing was not in place. Indeed, we were able to walk along The Brow, our enjoyment of the evergreen view heightened by the knowledge that the ground beneath our feet might slip away at any moment!
