Yellow
A walk along another section of the Moray Coast, this time from Hopeman to Burghead and back. Most of the walk is along an old railway cutting, covered in Cow Parsley and Gorse, the Yellow hammer was hard to pick out amongst the gorse flower but he could certainly be heard. We arrived at Burghead, had a coffee then went round to the observation point just as a pod of dolphins appeared, can’t believe how lucky we were. Lunch was wraps and wedges from the local Co op, enjoyed at a picnic table overlooking the Firth, happy days, an ice cream may be on the menu later. The extra is a large example( about 2m high) of erosion of sandstone by wave and wind action
